About God Can Charity

Our Vision

GOD CAN Charity / Dieu Peut Charity is a grassroots, community-based organization serving Galloway, Kingston-Galloway/Orton Park, and surrounding East Scarborough communities.We believe everyone deserves a trusted place to turn when they need guidance, encouragement, or practical support. Our organization supports newcomers, refugees, youth, adults, low-income residents, and families experiencing financial, social, or systemic barriers.

Our Mission

GOD CAN Charity’s mission is to strengthen individuals, families, and communities facing poverty, displacement, social isolation, and barriers to essential services through case management, responsive community programming, and advocacy.

We work directly with newcomers, refugees, youth, families, and underserved residents to identify immediate needs, develop practical plans, connect them to housing, food, employment, education, health, settlement and other community resources, and provide ongoing guidance as they navigate complex systems.

Through culturally responsive programs, outreach, referrals, partnerships, and individual and community advocacy, GOD CAN Charity works to close service gaps, address barriers that leave people behind, and help residents move from crisis and uncertainty toward greater stability, independence, opportunity, and connection within their community.
